The opinions expressed in this website are my own. These are solely my opinions. I reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever (abusive, profane, rude…) – so keep it polite and to the subject, please. The informations in this website are provided “AS IS” with no warranties, and confers no rights.
Like most website operators, I collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring website, and the date/time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use this website. This website also collects personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on this website.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to this website choose to interact with me in ways that require me to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that I gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, I ask visitors who sign up at marcoklobas.net to provide a username and e-mail address. Those who engage in transactions with me are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, I collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with me.
I do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities. When visitors leave comments on the website I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). The website administrator can also see and edit that information.
I may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors on this website. I may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, I do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

I will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone.
Other than to contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, I disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when I believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect my property or rights, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of this website and have supplied your e-mail address, I may occasionally send you an e-mail to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with me and my products. If you send me a request (for example via e-mail or via one of my feedback mechanisms), I reserve the right to publish it in order to help me clarify or respond to your request or to help me support other users. I do not use potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information gathered through this website for advertising purposes.
I take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information. IT infrastructure is provided by AWS – Amazon Web Services, payment transactions are provided by Stripe and the open source web analytic platform is provided by Matomo.
